Make Use of Lists to Get the Job Done
As a webmaster of many websites, I’m often pulled in multiple directions. That’s why I work most efficiently when using lists. If you haven’t employed this technique, I highly recommend it.
1. Grab a notebook
2. Physically write down tasks to be completed
3. Complete above tasks one after another, until list is finished (though this should never quite happen!)
If a client asks to have something done while you’re working on a task, add their new task to the end of the list (unless this is an emergency of course). I also prefer to create a daily to do list for each website, this way I always have something to do.
Ever Wanted A Link From ESPN?

Here’s a quick Friday tip:
ESPN recently unvailed a new section to their website called ESPN Profiles. Think of it as your own profile that connects you to your fantasy leagues, etc. You can upload your own picture, join groups, add friends… and WRITE BLOGS.
Within the blogging section, simply write about whatever you wish (as I have here) and be sure to include a link with the proper anchor text. And that’s it - a FREE do-follow link from Sportsnation dot ESPN dot COM.
Boats and Hoes
Here’s a simple lesson that can be learned about marketing on the internet:
Case: Step Brothers
Clip: Boats and Hoes
There’s no arguing that this is a hilarious video clip. The movie however? TERRRIBLE. This small music video distributed on Youtube convinced me to shell out $5 to see the rest. Though I wish I hadn’t, They did their job and they took my money. Online video is a very real, very powerful marketing method. Whether you’re a small business or large corporation - don’t underestimate video and it’s often viral effect when done correctly.
Well done.
